October 2007

• Sonata competed at the BHHS Mare Performance Test.  She was graded into the Main Stud Book and after excelling at loose jumping she went into the ridden section on a very high score.  Gaining a mark of 8.5 for rideability from the BHHS test rider, Sonata was awarded 'Elite'Status, our third consecutive mare to be presented and awarded this title.

July 2007

• Our final foal of the year arrived safely on the 10th and as usual, Waleska has produced a beautiful foal, a very dark brown colt who has been named Resolut.

June 2007

• Sonata has now been broken in and is to be prepared for this years BHHS Mare Performance Test at the end of August.

May 2007

• Merinka has qualified for the Shearwater 6 year old potential International Dressage Horse Championship.

• Wolker (the 5 year old son of Wanda) and Redstone Casino (the 5 year old son of St Pr St Roulette) have both qualified for the NUUMED Potential Young Dressage Horse 5 year old championship with scores of 85.4% and 84.7%.  We look forward to seeing them both in the final at the National Championships in September.

• Sonata and her younger brother, Staccato, have both gone to Diana Carter of Lockerbie to be broken in.  Can't believe that they are now four and three years old - where has the time gone to!

• Well done to Wanda.  She has produced a stunning colt foal on 10th May 2007 by Hofrat.

March 2007

• On 13th March, Donna-Anna produced our first foal of the year.  It is a beautiful filly by Sandro Hit, dark bay with one white back sock. She arrived safely and easily at 3.45 am and both mother and daughter are doing well.

• Elite Mayfair's second foal by Weltmeyer arrived 30th March, another colt and full brother to Wangelis.

January 2007

• A very happy New Year to all our web site visitors.  The evenings are getting lighter and Spring is just around the corner. As we approach the start of the foaling season, we will keep you all updated with the new arrivals.

October 2006

• At the first Scottish Sports Horse Dressage Championships, Merinka and Jo became the 5 year old Champions and also were placed first in the Dressage to Music

• Wolker, a colt which we sold as a foal (out of Wanda by the stallion, Welser, a son of Weltmeyer),  is now 4 years old and has recently been broken in and started his competition career in dressage.  He has been placed 1st in his first 3 tests, gaining scores of up to 70%.

September 2006

• 15th September 2006 - in the National Novice Open Championship Merinka and Jo achieved 3rd place on a score of 69.51%, only 0.61% behind the winner.  The best day yet!!

• 10th September 2006 - Merinka is 2006 Scottish Novice Champion - well done Jo.

July 2006

• At the Scottish Regional Championships at Ingliston on 29th and 30th July, Jo and Merinka have qualified for the National Championships at Stoneleigh in September in both the Novice Open and Elementary Open.

• Qualifications obtained at Rowallan by Jo and Merinka 21st and 22nd July for the Winter Regional Semis in both Novice Freestyle to Music (score 81.94%) and Elementary levels. 

• Jo has had a successful trip down to Keysoe in Bedfordshire where Merinka was a top 10 finalist in the Shearwater 5 year old competition and then took 3rd place in the Music Freestyle Challenge for Mares with a score of 71.44%.

• On 3rd July Waleska gave birth to a lovely brown colt foal by Don Schufro.  Both are doing well.

April 2006

• Congratulations to Jo and Merinka who competed in the Novice Freestyle at the Winter Championships on Friday, 7th April.  On a score of 70.65% they took 2nd place which is an amazing achievement when you consider that at this time last year Merinka hadn't been broken in!  Merinka took it all in her stride and earned a wealth of compliments from the judges.  Well done to them both.

March 2006

• Jo and Merinka successfully competed in the Scottish Farmer Championships at Rowallan on Sunday, 19th March 2006, winning the Novice section.

• Elite Mayfair has produced our first foal of 2006.  Her dark brown colt by Weltmeyer arrived safely on the 27th.  Mother and son are both doing well.

February 2006

• Congratulations to Jo and Merinka who will be taking the trip down to Solihull for the Winter National Championships  at the beginning of April.

• Jo will be taking Merinka to Gleneagles at the end of February for the Scottish Regional Semi-Finals.

• October 2005

• After being broken in by Diana Carter of Lockerbie earlier this year, Merinka has spent the last 12 weeks with Jo Barry at her dressage yard at Kirknewton, Nr Edinburgh.  Together with Jo, Merinka attended the British Hanoverian Horse Society Mare Performance Test on 2nd October 2005 and after loose jumping, assessment, the ridden section with Jo and then ridden by the test rider, Merinka was placed 2nd overall and awarded 'Elite' status. 

• Following her success at Addington, Merinka has since qualified for the 2006 Scottish Farmer Novice Championship and the 2006 Winter Regional Semi-Final in Novice to be held at Gleneagles.

June 2005

• Our final foal of 2005 arrived on 19th June.  Out of  Roulette and by Sandro Song, our colt Steinway is a full brother to Sonata born in 2003 and Staccato in 2004.  Steinway is very flashy - chestnut with a white blaze and four equal white socks.  His first pictures will be published shortly.

April 2005

• Wanda produced our third filly, Riviera,  at 3.10 a.m. on 9th April.  This very pretty foal is by Relevant and full sister to Revell born February 2004.  Like him she is very friendly and very elegant.

• Waleska made it four fillies in a row at 6.20 p.m. on 13th April!  This time by Rohdiamant, Renaissance  is a stunning foal,  very rich brown in colour  and is very friendly with a lovely movement.

                  So far all have arrived safely so it is now time for some sleep before the fifth and final foal of the year is due in June!

March 2005

• The new foaling season got off to a brilliant start on 5th March when Donna-Anna's beautiful chestnut filly, Rohanna, by Rohdiamant arrived at 4.30 a.m.  It is always a worry when mares come to foal for the first time but Anna has treated motherhood in the same manner as everything else and is loving every minute of it!!

• Our second filly, Diamante,  arrived on 29th March this time by Diamond Hit out of Elite Mayfair.  A very pretty foal who will grow up to be the same colour as both her father and mother and even at this stage she has excellent movement.

February 2005

• It doesn't seem that long since Merinka was a foal but how time flies.  She is away at the moment to be backed and it is really interesting seeing her progress from week to week.

June 2004

• Our third and final foal for this year has arrived safely - a colt, Staccato, by Sandro Song out of St. Pr. Roulette was born on 15th June.  He is full brother to last year's filly foal, Sonata.

March 2004

• Our beautiful filly foal, Royal Dancer, arrived at 3.30 am on 8th March.  By Royal Diamond out of Elite Mayfair, she is dark brown with a small white star.

February 2004

• Wanda's colt foal, Revell, (by Relevant) arrived safely in the early hours of 16th February.  He is dark chestnut and even at this early stage he is showing great movement and is very friendly.

November/December 2003

• At  three outings, Donna-Anna  qualified for both the Novice and Elementary Regional Open Championships.

September 2003

• Donna-Anna attended the British Hanoverian Horse Society Stud Book Inspection and Mare Performance Test.  She has been graded into the Main Stud Book of the Society and passed the Mare Performance Test with a score of 8.11 (second highest score'

• She was also a finalist in the National Championships Novice Open Class.

August 2003

• Donna-Anna achieved a place in the top ten at  the Rhinegold 5 Year Old Championship at Hickstead.  Also this month she attended the Regional Finals of the Novice Open and has qualified for the National Finals in September.

July 2003

• Roulette has returned home from stud.  She is again in foal to Sandro Song and is due June 2004

• Donna-Anna achieved a place in the top ten of the Shearwater 5 Year Old Potential International Dressage Horse class at Addington Manor Equestrian Centre.  She was also a finalist in the 2003 Badminton Young Horse Championship.

June 2003

• Roulette has produced a filly foal, again by Sandro Song.

• Donna-Anna has qualified for the final of the Badminton Young Horse Championship

May 2003

• Donna-Anna has qualified for the final of the Rhinegold British Young Dressage Horse Championship to be held at Hickstead in August.

• Waleska has produced a Sandro Song filly foal.
